Kirsten completed her Masters of Science in Physiotherapy from McMaster University in 2017. Previous to this she graduated with Honours in the Bachelor of Kinesiology program at Brock University. While at McMaster University, Kirsten was a lead member in a research team studying the effects of lifestyle changes on patients with chronic low back pain, this paper to be published in The Spine Journal in 2018.
During her schooling, Kirsten was a lead student athletic therapist for the AAA U21 Toronto Aeros Hockey Team as well as the University of Toronto Football team and Track and Field team. During this time she also had the opportunity to work with Canadian Olympic Athletes in the David L. MacIntosh Sport Medicine Clinic.
Kirsten has always had an interest in athletics and plans to continue her education with a focus on manual therapy and sports injury rehabilitation.
In 2017, Kirsten was elected as the Social Media Representative of the Niagara Division of the OPA.
