Born in Montreal and growing up with a strong love for sports, Ryan was especially interested in being on the ice. Ryan attended The Gunnery in Washington, CT on a scholarship for hockey and academics. Being a sports fanatic and having played competitive hockey in both the US and Junior hockey in Canada, he has a strong professional interest in sport rehab, performance optimization and reconditioning.
After graduating from The Gunnery, he completed his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from McGill University in 2012, with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology.
As a life-long learner, he continues to seek out post-graduate courses and staying current with the latest research and evidence-based management. Ryan aims to leverage the benefits of manual, manipulative, and movement-based therapies to return to function and beyond.
Among the extensive list of certifications below, he is especially excited to be one of a handful of people in Canada who are certified and can offer an FDA approved Blood Flow Restriction Training. One of the biggest breakthroughs in rehab over the last few decades. As a reconditioning specialist he is able to systematically assess movement and find the underlying causes of either pain or movement limitations. This approach is just as applicable to the individual hoping to walk their dog longer to an olympic athlete looking for the slightest competitive advantage. With the ability to offer acupuncture, manipulations, shockwave therapy and renowned class 4 high intensity laser therapy (Light Force), Ryan aims to reduce pain and inflammation to help get you feeling and moving better.
As a resident of Fonthill, Ryan is very grateful to be able to serve this amazing community. He is looking forward to not only helping residents, but being involved with community events. He currently resides here with his wife Lori, three daughters and two of the cutest pups around Lacey and Harvey.
