Ben began his education studying Kinesiology at Brock University, a program from which he graduated with Honours in 2012. During that time he worked at the Niagara Orthopaedic Institute (Niagara) getting experience as a physiotherapy assisstant.
He then studied at Bond University in Queensland, Australia, completing his Doctor of Physiotherapy (DPT) degree. While studying, Ben completed research surrounding patient outcomes in physiotherapy-led orthopaedic triage, in the hospital setting.
Upon completion of his physiotheapy degree, Ben worked in private practice in Queensland, Australia. He has recently moved home to Ontario, Canada, to open the Niagara Orthopaedic Institute Hamilton (NOI Hamilton), founded in March, 2018.
Ben has taken multiple post-graduate courses in manual therapy and adjunct therapies, some of which include acupuncture and dry needling, kinesio and rock taping, mat-work and reformer based pilates and Neurokinetic therapy. He is active in the trail and road running community, and treating running related injuries contines to be one of his special interests.
While completing his undergraduate degree at Queen’s University in Kinesiology, Robin was the varsity Basketball trainer, helping athletes with their off and on the court training and rehabilitation. He continued his education by obtaining his Masters of Science in Physiotherapy at McMaster University.
Robin is very sports oriented; a previous soccer player, and having a large passion for the game, Robin was selected to work as a soccer on-field therapist at the 2015 Pan Am games.
He has a special interest in manual therapy obtaining his Level 3 certification from the Orthopedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. He is credentialed through the Titleist Performance Institute as a Medical Level 3 practitioner for golf specific rehabilitation. Robin continues to progress the profession of physiotherapy in his role as an Associate Clinical Professor (Adjunct) in the School of Rehabilitation Sciences at McMaster University.
Robin's therapy is focused around the balance of manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and acupuncture. He has 5 years of experience in concussion rehabilitation through Complete Concussion Management. Outside the clinic, Robin is an avid golfer and a general sports enthusiast (Go Leafs Go!). He resides in Stoney Creek and spends his free time with his wife touring around the Niagara peninsula enjoying the local food and drink.
Tanisha obtained her Master's in Physical Therapy degree from McGill University in 2020. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor's in Physiotherapy degree in India with honors in 2018. During her time at McGill, she has worked with people of all age groups at hospitals and rehab centres in Montreal to help them achieve their functional goals.
A big believer in exercise and client-centered care, Tanisha combines manual therapy, exercise prescription and patient education in her sessions with patients. Her approach involves empowering patients by providing them with the knowledge and tools needed for proper recovery. As a dedicated lifelong learner, Tanisha is committed to continuing education to improve her ability to achieve the best outcomes for her patients.
Outside of work, Tanisha enjoys staying active by playing badminton and volleyball, dancing and spending time with friends and family. Tanisha is excited to work alongside a team that delivers holistic and high quality of care to all clients.
Nicholas was born and raised in Hamilton. Growing up as a hockey player in the area, he became passionate about rehabilitation and performance early in his career, looking for ways to stay healthy and gain a competitive advantage. Nick played junior hockey all over Ontario and Canada including a year on the east coast in Sydney, Nova Scotia where he played for the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles in the QMJHL. After moving back home he pursued his education at Brock university while continuing to play junior hockey for the St. Catharines Falcons. When Nick is not at the clinic, he likes to spend his free time playing golf in the summer and snowboarding in the winter with resistance training mixed throughout.
Nick earned his Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto in 2022. Prior to that, he graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Brock University during which he volunteered in the sports performance program in strength and conditioning, working with the varsity Women’s Basketball and Volleyball teams. Nick also worked at a local Hamilton gym for over 5 years with everyone from professional hockey players and collegiate athletes of various sports to the general population to help them achieve their lifestyle and performance goals.
Now with his Physical Therapy degree and years of athletic development Nick combines all his experience and passion to help those of all ages and abilities achieve their goals. As a practitioner, Nick believes exercise and education are integral to a successful rehab and uses manual therapy and soft tissue techniques to supplement his approach.
Ryan completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at Western University and went onto post-graduate achieving a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree at D’Youville University in Buffalo, NY. His main focus was orthopedic manual and post-operative therapy. After becoming licensed as a physical therapist in Canada and the United States, Ryan worked in several acute surgical and private clinical settings across North America. His areas of expertise include treating orthopedic and repetitive injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation and trigger-point therapy. Outside of the clinic, Ryan is active in local running groups and continues to play hockey, soccer, volleyball and golf.
Jennifer completed her Kinesiology degree in 2008 and has been registered as a Massage Therapist since 2009. She has built a practice working with a diverse population including athletes, everyday people, those with chronic disease and illness, children and everything in between. She provides deep tissue massage, sports massage, athletic taping and enjoys educating her patients on ways to take control of their well-being. Jennifer is in the process of finishing a diploma in Holistic Nutrition and looks forward to adding that into her practice.
Being physically active is a very important part of Jennifer’s life. She has played soccer most of her life, as well as dancing, yoga and now rock-climbing. If you don’t see her in the clinic, it’s probably because she’s on a plane travelling!
Diana is a Registered Massage Therapist with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She graduated with honours from Mohawk College and welcomes patients with acute and chronic conditions as well as those wanting to achieve a higher state of health and wellness. Her approach to treating clients begins with creating a treatment plan that is unique to each person, focusing on the current symptoms, the cause, compensatory issues, prevention and home care. Treatment methods include deep tissue work, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, trigger point therapy, prenatal massage and General Swedish techniques to maximize the health and well-being of her clients.
Diana looks forward to continuing her education and collaborating with fellow health care practitioners to provide the best care for her clientele. In her spare time, Diana enjoys spending time with her son doing outdoor activities as much as possible and maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
Kasey first started working in the medical field in 2010 with a team of family Doctors. Doing this, she found her passion helping patients with their medical care. In 2020 she has decided to further her career at NOI Hamilton, where she currently acts as Clinic Manager and Medical Administrator. Kasey’s leadership, organisational skills and passion for her work allow her to thrive in this role.
She is excited to be apart of a growing team at NOI Hamilton, working along side our Orthopaedic Surgeons and Sports Medicine Doctors.

Gabriela is an undergraduate student at the University of Waterloo completing a degree in Honours Kinesiology. After working as a clinical administrator alongside medical specialists in the field, Gabriela discovered her passion for patient care and rehabilitation sciences. Through her adaptable experience, she demonstrates proficient interpersonal skills and an exceptional ability to work as a team member.
During her free time Gabriela enjoys photography and traveling to new destinations. Gabriela is looking forward to further expanding learning opportunities at NOI Hamilton and showing her passion for helping others in this role.
Dr. de SA is an orthopaedic surgeon from Hamilton, Ontario whose clinical scope includes adult and paediatric sports medicine, arthroscopic surgery, and trauma. He has a special interest in complex knee reconstruction.
He completed both his medical and orthopaedic surgical residency training at McMaster University. He completed a Sports Medicine and Arthroscopic Surgery Fellowship under the mentorship of Drs. Freddie H. Fu and Volker Musahl at the University of Pittsburgh. In this latter role, he acquired extensive experience as Assistant Team Physician for the Pittsburgh Penguins (NHL) and worked collaboratively with the medical teams for the Pittsburgh Steelers (NFL) and the University of Pittsburgh collegiate athletics. He is currently the Associate Head Orthopaedic Surgeon for the Hamilton Forge FC (Canadian Premier League), and an Assistant Team Physician with the Hamilton Tiger Cats. Moreover, Darren has completed young adolescent and paediatric trauma subspecialty training at Western University in London, Ontario, and is concurrently pursuing adult musculoskeletal trauma training at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario.
Darren has contributed to a productive research program focused on outcomes research in adult/paediatric trauma and athletic injuries/non-arthritic conditions of the knee, shoulder and hip. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed manuscripts, numerous book chapters, and has delivered several podium and poster presentations on the national and international stage. Most recently, he served as Assistant Editor for the joint JISAKOS/ESSKA "Basic Methods Handbook for Clinical Orthopaedic Research: A Practical Guide and Case-Based Research Approach", and serves on the Editorial Boards for KSSTA and Arthroscopy. Dr. de SA has a passion for medical education as well, and has been recognized at the institutional and national level for his contributions in this realm. He remains an active member of the Canadian Orthopaedic Association, Canadian Academy of Sport and Exercise Medicine, International Society of Arthroscopy, Knee Surgery, and Orthopaedic Sport Medicine, International Quadriceps Tendon Interest Group, and the Arthroscopy Association of Canada.
Thomas Wood is an orthopaedic surgeon.
Born and raised in Hamilton, Dr. Robinson practiced Family Medicine in Stoney Creek for 18 years. After obtaining his diploma in Sports Medicine he worked at McMaster David Braley Sport Medicine Centre for 9 years, where he looked after McMaster athletes, including the McMaster Marauders football team.
He has also been the team physician for the Hamilton Bulldogs as both an AHL and OHL franchise since 1999, a job he continues to this day.

Katie Dalziel is a primary care Sport and Exercise Medicine physician originally from Stoney Creek, now practicing in both in Hamilton and Niagara. Her practice includes diagnosis and management of non-operative musculoskeletal conditions in patients of all ages and activity levels. This includes ultrasound guided cortisone, hyaluronic acid and platelet rich plasma injections for various conditions.
She completed her medical training at Queen’s University, followed by her residency and a fellowship in Sport and Exercise medicine at McMaster University. She is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University and an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Kinesiology at Brock University.
Dr. Dalziel is currently the head physician for the Brock University Badgers and the Hamilton Forge FC (Canadian Premier League). She is also a team physician for the Hamilton Tiger Cats and recently acted as the Chief Medical Officer for the 2022 Canada Summer Games. She continues with work with high level athletes from the local to international level including previous coverage with Lacrosse Canada, Wrestling Canada, Soccer Canada, Cycling Canada and Ball Hockey Canada.
Locally in the Niagara region she acts as a consulting physician for Niagara College, Fort Erie International Academy and Crystal Beach Academy.
Stephen Kapuvari is a distinguished graduate of the University of Toronto Physician Assistant Program, class of 2017. With a solid foundation in healthcare, he boasts over 5 years of specialized expertise in Orthopedics, with a strong emphasis on the skillful application of ultrasound-guided therapies.
