Jacob Vani

Jacob Vani is a grade 8 student at Our Lady of Mount Carmel school. Over the years, Jacob has enjoyed playing many sports such as baseball, soccer and hockey, where he has made many lifelong friends and learned from many amazing coaches. He played in his early years for Niagara United with his dad as his coach until the age of 6. He continued his soccer journey playing for the Niagara Falls Titans Rep/Development program coached by Brian Panunto. Jacob’s passion for soccer has grown immensely, resulting in him choosing to focus solely on his development as a soccer player. He has had many amazing opportunities such as training with the TFC select program.

Two years ago, Jacob attended a soccer camp in July, training with coaches from Pescara, Italy. This opportunity was made possible by Elite Soccer Development and Clayton Rosario. In October 2022 Jacob was chosen to participate in a 10-day Soccer Training Internship in Pescara, Italy where he was immersed in Italian culture and intense training sessions. Jacob had the opportunity to train again this past summer with the coaches and players from Pescara Calcio at Ridley College. In October 2023 Jacob had the privilege of attending another 10-day Soccer Internship, this time on full scholarship in Pescara, Italy. He is very thankful to have had these amazing opportunities to improve his skill level and technique as a player. He currently plays on the U14 Niagara Titans OPDL team, coached by Brian Panunto where enjoys playing with his friends and competing against teams across Ontario.

Jacob has been working with Chris Lanni and Matt Cain at the Niagara Orthopedic Institute over the past five months, to help regain his strength and mobility, after an ankle injury. He is so grateful to Chris Lanni and Matt Cain at NOI for pushing him, sharing their soccer expertise and helping him to prepare for the upcoming season.
