Patrick Babin

Patrick Babin is currently a grade 10 student at A.N. Myer Secondary Niagara Falls Ontario where he lives with his family. Patrick has extended family in both Canada and the U.S. as a duel citizen and has always loved playing a wide variety of sports growing up.

Patrick first started skating at the age of three and began playing hockey at a young age. His first experience on a travel hockey team at seven was successful winning a league Championship with the Niagara Falls Flyers. He played five years with the Southern Tier Admirals organization highlighted by a memorable tournament win at the Nations Cup in Michigan while wearing the Canadian Maple Leaf for the first time. In his U14 (Minor Bantam) year after the Covid Epidemic, Patrick changed organizations to the Niagara North Stars where he continued to play as a defenceman and was named Captain.

Patrick also explored other sports during his off seasons early on including soccer and baseball. He continued to play travel baseball with the Niagara Falls Falcons as a multi-sport athlete where he was successful helping his team win many tournaments and two Ontario Baseball Championships in 2015 and 2022. He additionally plays baseball for his high school at A.N. Myer and is also a member of their golf team. Golf is another sport Patrick thoroughly enjoys and was invited to play in a USGA Junior event locally.

Patrick pursues high academic performance and prioritizes his studies while playing sports. He was awarded multiple athletic and scholastic awards over the years and is currently an honour roll student maintaining a 90% average.
In 2022, Patrick was approached by Newport Sports Management where his agent Pat Morris and advisor Darren Price continue to represent and advise Patrick today with his hockey development.

In his U16 and third season as captain, Patrick’s hockey team advanced to the OMHA Championship where they earned a wild card spot to the OHL Cup to further compete and showcase against the top teams in the province.
In April 2024, Patrick was honoured to be drafted 23rd overall (2nd pick in the second round) in the Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection Draft by the Brantford Bulldogs where he hopes to continue his hockey career and develop as a player.

During his athletic journey, Patrick was successfully treated by Chris Lanni and received rehabilitation training by Darius Szpilewski at Niagara Orthopaedic’s Niagara Falls location.
